Did you know shelter dogs are only given minimum care because of limited funding? Dogs that have broken legs or infections are not given high priority for veterinary care. Therefore, shelters rely on rescues to come in and save these dogs in need and insure that they get the needed medical attention and rehabilitation before finding their new forever home or else these dogs will most likely be the first to be euthanized due to limited funding and the time it takes to rehabilitate. When we pull dogs from shelters, we are treating dogs with minor conditions such as kennel cough and respiratory infections to more major needs such as broken bones, ACL injuries, cancerous lesions, mange, etc. and we are only able to do this with donations provided by loving individuals such as yourself. If you can donate towards one of our critical needs below, it will be greatly appreciated. These are just some of the stories of how your generosity and support of Second Chance Dog Rescue has helped dogs in need. Second Chance Dog Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that is 100% volunteer run.
